The holiday season seems to be filled with people asking for things, its a time when charities play on your giving card and get what they can and it can be overwhelming and even annoying at times, but heres the thing. They need it. I raise money for the CFF every year at their Great Strides walk event because its obviously a charity close to my heart and i rely on the research and programs they provide to keep me and all my Cystic friends alive as long as possible!! I get angry sometimes at charities that become "popular" and seem to be a fad or a trend or dont really give the donation money where it needs to go because that hurts my own efforts, its hard to know exactly where your money goes at times. Money is tight and sometimes even the thought of giving $5 to something that doesnt give you personal gain is kind of hard, but think about the people who need it. Think about all the people battling to get meds that their insurance wont cover for whatever reason, think about the people who spend birthdays and holidays in the hospital because they happened to be born with a disease that you werent. Your $5 makes a difference, i usually post about things that are bothering me or causing me anxiety or topics i feel i need to vent about but this one is about bringing attention to the CFF and raising money for an important cause. The link to my Great Strides page is below, click it and make a difference for the thousands of people out there who need a cure!!!
